Introducing the 2023 Color of the Year: Digital Lavender
Yep, it’s that time of year. Pantone has released its Color of the Year, splitting designers everywhere into Yay or Nay camps. The interesting thing is that it’s not that different from 2022’s hue, Very Peri, a periwinkle blue with purple undertones. So, you’ll most likely stay where you are in terms of your happiness with this color.
To put it simply, we are now entering our second year of purple. Sending our congrats and condolences to all. Take what you need.
Pantone justified their choice by saying that Digital Lavender is the answer since customers are now looking for more subtle and pastel tones to help them find solace and peace. They claim that lavender is gender-inclusive and signifies stability, serenity and digital escapism.
