Marketing Trends of the Future

Oct 29, 2021

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a secret marketing time machine? You’d just hop in on your lunch break, see what the fancy marketers of the future are doing, and then pop back just in time to update your strategy before your big client meeting. You’d be a visionary in no time, with a real knack for successful campaigns.

Well, until the time machine rolls out, you’ll have to settle for trend forecasting. Which is really just a fancy word for guessing, backed by research. And the good news is, we’ve taken a stab at it and are here to share our predictions for the future of marketing.

Meet you back here in 2030 to see if we’re correct, deal?

Marketing Trends of the Future

AI is King
Content is still important, but AI may take the crown as king. Technology is advancing so quickly and so vastly that it just makes sense for artificial intelligence to reign. In marketing, at least. One thing that’s already being done is using AI-powered chatbots to help with customer service on websites. We think this will only increase as the technology allows for better understanding and more personalized, natural responses. We see a time where you won’t even be able to tell when you’re dealing with a human or a robot in online interactions. Plus, bots are available 24/7, can recall buying history immediately and perhaps most impressive of all, they never lose their cool.

Virtual Reality
We are already starting to see VR used in marketing today and we think this will only expand as people continue to expect more engaging, interactive and personalized experiences. Currently, car makers have taken advantage of the technology to offer 360 degree tours of vehicles. We envision a future in which all industries are utilizing VR to create compelling connections with consumers.

Video Marketing
We actually KNOW this will be a trend in the future because it’s already massively increasing in popularity as we speak. Think YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, etc. And studies have shown that video is the preferred method for people to learn about a new product. So at the vry least, consider creating a short commercial for your website. Plus, Google is rewarding sites with videos, meaning you’re more likely to show up in search results.

Data-Driven Everything
Gone will be the days of mass marketing. And good riddance! Studies have shown that 68% of consumers are highly annoyed by generic ads. We think in the future you’ll find targeted strategy like never before. Think about it–more and more of our lives are becoming connected. Think smart phones, smart cars, smart appliances even! With all of that connection, comes data. And with that data comes more opportunities for highly personalized communications. Brands will be able to effectively send out the right message, at the right time ON THE RIGHT DEVICE! Whoaaaa…

So there you have it. Our predictions for the future of marketing. Do you agree?
